Art-based workshops for self-reflection, transformation and creative exploration
Creative Workshops for Adults offer carefully held group spaces for people who want to explore personal questions, inner resources, identity, change and creative expression through artistic methods.
The workshops combine artistic practice, art therapeutic methods, reflective exercises and guided group processes. They are not about producing perfect artworks or performing creativity. They are about entering a creative process, discovering new perspectives and giving form to experiences that may not yet have clear words.
No artistic experience is required.
Workshops can take place in my studio in Berlin-Pankow, online or in cooperation with social, cultural, educational or community-based organisations.
Creative Workshops for Adults are guided group formats that use creative methods as tools for reflection, expression and transformation.
Depending on the topic and format, we may work with colour, drawing, collage, writing, image-making, clay, simple sculptural methods, mixed media, movement, symbols or storytelling.
The materials are not used to judge artistic skill. They are used to open a space for exploration, self-contact, imagination and shared reflection.
In a group setting, creative processes can become especially powerful. Participants work individually with their own images and questions, while also being part of a respectful collective space. This can create resonance, connection and new perspectives without pressure to share more than feels right.
Creative Workshops for Adults can be supportive for people who want to:
reconnect with their creativity
explore personal resources
reflect on identity, roles or life transitions
move through change or uncertainty
strengthen self-perception and self-expression
work with symbols, images and inner landscapes
experience creative community
slow down and reconnect with themselves
explore feminist, social or biographical questions through art
gain new perspectives without needing to explain everything verbally
The workshops can also be helpful for people who feel creatively blocked, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves or curious about exploring inner processes in a structured and supportive way.
My approach is resource-oriented, process-led and participatory.
I bring more than twenty years of experience as an artist, art educator, workshop facilitator and project lead in social and cultural contexts. My work is shaped by artistic practice, cross-cultural experience, equality work, feminist cultural practice, diversity-sensitive processes and training in art therapeutic methods.
In my workshops, I create a clear structure while leaving enough space for individual experience, experimentation and unexpected discoveries.
A workshop may include a short introduction, a creative impulse, individual art-making, optional sharing, reflective writing, gentle group exchange and a closing round.
I do not interpret participants’ artworks from above. Instead, I support participants in finding their own meanings, associations and insights.
Each workshop has its own focus. Possible themes may include:
creative self-reflection
inner resources and strengths
identity, roles and belonging
boundaries and self-care
change, transition and new beginnings
body, intuition and embodied knowledge
creative blocks and artistic confidence
personal symbols, maps and inner landscapes
feminist perspectives and self-determination
biographical reflection through colour, image and form
connection, community and shared creative experience
These themes do not need to be approached logically. They can be explored through colour, form, texture, image, symbol, movement, words and dialogue.
Workshops can take place:
in person in my studio in Berlin-Pankow
online
as one-time workshops
as a series of several sessions
as half-day or full-day formats
in cooperation with social, cultural, educational or community-based organisations
Studio location:
Dragonfly: Raum für Kunst und Transformation
at PROJEKTE
Florastraße 90a

Online workshops are possible if the format is suitable. For online workshops, I suggest simple materials participants may already have at home, such as paper, pens, pencils, pastels, collage materials or clay.
Possible formats may include:
Creative Self-Reflection
Mapping Inner Resources
Creative Hero’s Journey
Identity, Roles and Transformation
Creative Boundaries and Self-Care
Symbols, Talismans and Inner Strength
Feminist Art-Based Reflection
More information about each workshop will be available on the individual workshop pages.
In my studio, I work with small groups to create a calm, attentive and supportive atmosphere.
Group size depends on the format, topic and space. Smaller groups allow for more individual attention, reflection and shared exchange.
For online workshops, the group size is also adapted to the format so that participants can still feel seen and safely guided.
You do not need to prepare anything or bring artistic experience.
A workshop usually includes:
a welcoming introduction
a clear thematic frame
a creative impulse or short guided exercise
time for individual creative work
optional reflection or writing
optional sharing in the group
a closing moment to gather what has emerged
You are always invited to participate at your own pace. Sharing is encouraged but not forced.
The aim is not to analyse, compare or evaluate artworks. The aim is to create a respectful space where each person can explore their own process.
Workshop fees depend on the format, duration, group size, materials and whether the workshop takes place in person or online.
Prices for open workshops will be listed with each individual workshop announcement.
The fee usually includes preparation, facilitation, basic materials for in-person workshops and follow-up where relevant.
As I currently use the small business regulation according to § 19 UStG, no VAT is charged.
Payment
After your place has been confirmed, you will receive the payment details by email.
Your place is reserved once the payment has been received.
For open workshops, payment is usually due in advance and no later than 7 days before the workshop date.
For short-notice bookings, payment is due upon booking or before the workshop begins.
Cancellation and refunds
Each workshop reserves preparation time, materials and, for in-person workshops, studio space.
You can cancel your participation free of charge up to 7 days before the workshop date.
If you cancel less than 7 days before the workshop, the fee may not be refundable if your place cannot be offered to someone else.
If you do not attend without cancelling in advance, the full workshop fee will be charged.
If I need to cancel a workshop due to illness, low registration numbers or another important reason, you will receive a full refund or, where possible, the option to transfer your booking to a new date.
Illness and emergencies
I understand that illness and emergencies can happen.
If you are ill, please let me know as early as possible. If the workshop place can be offered to someone else, I can refund the fee or transfer your booking to another workshop where possible.
For very short-notice cancellations, the fee may not be refundable, as preparation, materials and space have already been reserved.
If you are currently receiving social benefits or have a very low income, you are welcome to look at the free monthly workshop series Feministisch Gestalten, which I offer through Paula Panke e.V. in Weißensee.
This free format is part of my work in a social and community-based context and is intended for women and trans, intersex, non-binary and agender people who would otherwise not be able to access this kind of creative support.
Please refer to the Paula Panke programme for current dates and details:
Creative Workshops for Adults are not psychotherapy and do not replace medical, psychiatric or psychotherapeutic treatment.
They use art therapeutic methods and creative self-reflection, but they are not a clinical or medical service.
They can, however, offer a stabilising, inspiring and strengthening space for self-reflection, expression, orientation and creative development.
These workshops are for adults who are interested in exploring personal, creative or reflective questions through artistic methods.
They are open to people with and without artistic experience.
My work is open to everyone and especially attentive to the needs and experiences of women, trans, intersex, non-binary and agender people. I work in a discrimination-sensitive, respectful and resource-oriented way.
If you would like to join a workshop, feel free to contact me or follow the booking information listed with the individual workshop.
You are welcome to include a few short notes about:
which workshop you are interested in
whether you prefer an in-person or online format
any access needs or questions
whether you would like to be informed about future workshops
In short
Creative Workshops for Adults are guided art-based group spaces for self-reflection, transformation and creative exploration.
They combine artistic methods, art therapeutic approaches and reflective dialogue to support expression, inner resources, shared learning and new perspectives.
