The Site Specific Installation as part of the Kunst: Offen 11 June, and the Earth Festival 22-24.06.2018
Minaminals is a conceptual installation project that focuses on ephemeral, experimental, sustainable processes, materials and themes. It serves as educational material through the aesthetic presentation of the installation in the public space. The aim of this event is to place wildflower seed in the animals so that they grow, flower and become part of the decomposition process.
At the opening, 50 sculptures / Minaminals including tortoises, birds, snakes and snails were exhibited. Approximately 13 sculptures/casts per named animal were installed together in an old fountain and was planned to be observed during the next weeks during the flowering and decay process. The installation and deliberate decay is symbolic of the ‘circle of life’, birth and death as found in all ecosystems.
Each of the 50 sculptures has a size between 8cm³ and 25cm³.
The Minaminals are produced with their own recipe from 100% natural, biodegradable materials, from the design of the prototypes to the cast sculpture and are meant to decompose on site.
The installation was not documented in the decay and subsequent blooming of the seeds because it was completely destroyed by humans after two weeks.
The interaction with art in the public space can not be controlled. This factor makes the genre so exciting in my opinion. There is no curator or security who protects the artist’s work.
Perhaps the destruction of the installation has a parallel to our world, or perhaps a form of therapy for the destroyer (s)? The decay process was accelerated and death came early.

Das Projekt
Zur Eröffnung wurden 50 Skulpturen/Minaminals darunter Schildköten, Vögel und Schnecken ausgestellt. Ungefähr 17 Skulpturen pro genannten Tier wurden zusammen in einem alten Brunnen installiert und sollten so über die nächsten Wochen beim blühen und Verwesungsprozesses beobachtet werden. Die Installation und gewollte Verwesung ist Symbolisch des ‚Circle of Life‘, Geburt und Tot, wie es in allen Ecosystemen zu finden ist.
Minaminals ist ein konzeptionelles Installationsprojekt wo ephemere, experimentelle, nachhaltige Prozesse, Materialien und Themen im Vordergrund stehen. Es dient zur Pädagogischen Aufklärung durch die ähstetische Präsentation der Installation im Ӧffentlichen Raum. Für dieses Event ist auch Ziel Wildblumensaat in die Tierchen zu platzieren sodas diese wachsen, blühen und Teil des Prozesses werden.
Jede der 50 Skulpturen haben eine Maβe zwischen 8cm³ und 25cm³.
Die Minaminals sind mit eigenen Rezept aus 100% natürlich, biologisch abbaubaren Materialien produziert, vom design der Prototypen bis zur gegossener Skulptur und sollen Vorort Verwesen.
Die Minaminals II Installation wurde zuletzt nicht bei der Verwesung und dem anschliesenden blühen der Saat dokumentiert da diese nach zwei Wochen komplett zerstört wurde.
Die Interaktion mit Kunst im Oeffentlichen Raum kann nicht kontrolliert werden. Dieser Faktor macht meiner Meinung nach die genre so spannend. Es gibt keinen Kurator oder Security der die Arbeit des Künstlers beschützt.
Vielleicht war die Zerstörung der Installation ein parallel zu unserer Welt, oder vielleicht ein Form von Therapie für den/die Zerstörer? Der Verwesungsprozess wurde beschleunigt, der Tod kam früh.
